We play on our traditional wooden Alpine Horns. For special performances we also use Alpine Horns made out of carbon.

Pictures from our Alphornmaker:

Matthys Böhm about the Alpine horn:
“I came to Alphorn construction almost like the Virgin to the child. When I needed a new mouthpiece, I turned to Ernst Nussbaum, who is very well known in Alphorn circles, and was given the opportunity to learn the craft of the Alphornmaker. It is my desire to make the instruments in careful handwork, be it in Swiss Pine or Norway Spruce.
I especially liked the Alphorns from the wood of the Swiss Pine. They have a beautiful, soft, round sound and the aroma of this wood triggers a special feeling in many people.”

For contemporary playing techniques we use the Flying Alpine horn, which sets new standards in terms of weight and playing options.
